1 cup rolled oats
1 cup wholemeal plain flour
1 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup currants
1/2 cup chopped glace cherries
125g butter
1 Tbs golden syrup
1 tsp baking soda
2 Tbs boiling water
Combine oats, flour, sugar, coconut & fruit in bowl & mix well. Combine butter & syrup in a pan, stir over heat until butter is melted. Combine soda & water in a small bowl, add to butter mixture, mix well. Stir into dry ingredients while still warm. Roll three level teaspoons of mixture into balls. Place on lightly greased oven trays. Cook in slow oven 150 degC 20 mins. Leave on try 5 mins before cooling on wire rack.
