Toothpaste to remove ballpoint pen marks.
Brasso to take yellow off fridge - Leave on a while and rub off.
To clean electric jug or iron - 1 dsp borax in jug & fill with water & boil 1/4 hour, or mix borax & water & put in iron.
Vinegar - sprinkle on cloth when cleaning glass to keep flies away.
Removing hem marks - 1 cup hot water, 1/2 tsp vinegar, 1 tsp borax mixed together & sponged on hem marks.
Marks on wood - dip damp cloth in cigarette ash & rub over mark or olive oil & salt - leave 1/2 hour & then rub off.
Blood stains - starch & cold water mixed to a paste - leave on a while & brush off.
Perspiration marks - soak soiled area in water from boiled potatoes then sponge with clean warm water.
Hairspray to remove ballpoint marks on vinyl - spray then wipe off. Also removes light felt pen marks from cloth.
Bubblegum marks - put garment in fridge & scrape off when cold. Remove mark by sponging with eucalyptus.
To stretch shrunken wool - Dissolve 85g Epsom Salts in boiling water. Allow to cool then soak garment 1/2 hour. Squeeze out excess water, stretch garment to correct shape & when almost dry iron under a dry cloth.
