8 oz rolled oats
2 tsp ground ginger
2 level Tbs golden syrup
4oz brown sugar
4oz butter
Mix rolled oats, ginger & sugar together Put butter & syrup in pan & stir over gentle heat until melted. Mix into dry ingredients. Pack into well greased 19cm tin. Bake moderate hot oven 350 deg F 20-25 mins. Pour topping over when cool.
Topping:
6 Tbs icing sugar
3 oz butter
1 tsp ground ginger
3 tsp golden syrup
Put all in pan & stir over gentle heat until melted.
