4 oz butter
1 cup caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 eggs
1-3/4 cups self raising flour
good pinch salt
1/2 cup milk
1 oz chocolate chips
1 oz chopped roasted peanuts
Cream butter, sugar & vanilla essence. Add eggs, one at a time, beat well.
Fold in sifted flour & salt alternatley with milk.
Stir through peanuts & chocolate chips.
Bake moderate oven 50-60 mins.
Ice when cool
Icing:
Sift 2 Tbs cocoa with 2 cups icing sugar. Cream 2 oz buter & 1 tsp vanilla essence, gradually add icing sugar mixture. Add 2 Tbs milk to make spreading consistency. Decorate with chopped nuts.
