1 cup blanched almonds
2/5 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
cinnamon
nutmeg
Put almonds in baking dish & bake 200 degC 5 mins. Put into frying pan & stir in sugar & water. Mix well. Cook over moderate heat until liquid evaporates & sugar is bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir while cooling to prevent sticking. The nuts will become sugary in a few seconds. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon. Cool & store in sealed jar.
