1-1/4 cups milk
50g butter
3-12 cups sugar
2 tsp vanlla essence
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup chopped Mixed fruit
Lightly grease 18c square tin.
Put milk in pan,add butter & sugar.
Heat stirring occasionally until it boils.
Boil steadily (watch it) for 20 mins.
Drop little in glass of water to test, after a minute lift out, it should form a soft ball.
Cool pan in sink of shallow cold water.
Add vanilla, fruit & nuts.
Beat with wooden spoon, when thick pour into tin.
Cut just before it sets.
