180g butter
1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
2 Tbs golden syrup
1-1/4 cups wholemeal flour
1-1/4 cups white flour
2 tsp baking powder
1-1/4 cups dates, chopped
Melt the butter with brown sugar & golden syrup in pan. Stir into flour, baking powder & dates. Press into a lightly greased tin approx 16cmx26cm. Bake 180 degC 30 mins. Cool before cutting.
