250g buter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups self raising flour
pinch salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
70g pecans
Melt butter & stir in sugar, cool 5 minutes.
Beat in eggs.
Sift flour, salt, cinnamon & stir into mixture.
Put heaped teaspoonsful on greased tray & press a pecan into centre of each. Leave room to spread.
Bake 200 degC 10 minutes.
Variations:
Use nutmeg, mixed spice, cardomon or ginger & walnuts instead of pecans.
