Crumble 1 cup cake crumbs into basin & moisten with 1/2 cup milk which has 1 level tsp baking soda dissolved in it. Beat 1 egg with 2 Tbs sugar, add 1 Tbs golden syrup & 1 Tbs melted butter. Stir in 1/2 cup flour & 1/2 cup fruit. Put in greased steamer & steam 1 hour.
